Sickle cell is a disease in which a group of red blood cells affects the hemoglobin. In Sickle Cell anemia red blood cells don't flow from the capillaries because of this the major organs of the body like the liver, heart; kidney, gallbladder, eyes, bones, and joints may get damaged. Sickle cell is inherited and is caused due to defective genes. A child is born with sickle cell he/she gets this from both his parents and this happens when mother and father both are the conveyor of the sickle cell gene. Many modern techniques help to find out the disease like hemoglobin electrophoresis and Genetic test.
